Case Study Description

Our client was adamant they did not want sprinklers in their building. The risk of water damage from accidental knocking of sprinkler heads to valuable documents was thought to be much higher than fire. The NZ Fire Service and the Building Code require smoke venting to such buildings and as fibre reinforced skylights do not provide this, Colt was commissioned to supply a dedicated pneumatic smoke venting system.
Colt Products and Systems provided everything from the design through to commissioning including a service contract. All for 25% of the quoted value they received for sprinklers.
