Waterborne Smooth Surface Sealer

Resene Waterborne Smooth Surface Sealer has been tailored to be a waterborne 'adhesive primer' over a series of surfaces usually considered difficult to coat or in need of expensive pre-treatment. Fast drying, easy application and wide compatibility with topcoats are added features of this product.

Typical uses: As a pre-treatment on
- Aluminium
- Baked enamels
- Copper and its alloys
- Glass and ceramics
- Laminated surfaces
- Melamine
- Most glazed surfaces
- Old varnished surfaces.

Performance:
1. Rapid dry time.
2. Unsurpassed adhesion over a variety of non-ferrous surfaces.
3. Useful over plastics, such as Formica® laminates.
4. Compatible with all topcoats tested.
5. May be overcoated within two hours with waterborne topcoats.
6. An Environmental Choice approved product.

Limitations:
1. Resene Waterborne Smooth Surface Sealer is not designed to give long-term exterior protection without overcoating. Durability of up to three months may be expected in mild marine conditions or better.
2. The system will usually attain maximum adhesion after several days.
3. Might not adhere to all plastics. A test patch is recommended.
