Forester

Resene Forester is a semi-transparent film forming timber stain effect finish based on a tough 100% acrylic resin to ensure maximum durability in all exposed conditions. Imparts a natural low sheen look that is fully washable. Resene Forester is designed for application on primed substrates, pre-primed Shadowclad® and when refurbishing previously painted substrates. The only exception is pre-primed Shadowclad® which is primed with a specific colour primer and does not require the Resene Sonyx 101 base coat.

Typical uses:
• Pre-primed Shadowclad®
• Wood grain effect fibre cement
• Repaints
• Primed timber
• Primed weatherboards.

Performance:
1. Excellent adhesion to primed wooden, cementitious and old paintwork substrates.
2. Low sheen semi-transparent finish.

Limitations:
1. Use Resene Sonyx 101 tinted to the Forester basecoat colour before finishing with Resene Forester on all primed substrates and when refurbishing previously painted substrates. The only exception is pre-primed Shadowclad® which is primed with a specific colour primer and does not require the Resene Sonyx 101 basecoat.
2. Resene Forester is not suitable for direct application over timber and other bare substrates. It is designed for use of primed substrates and particularly those with a wood grain effect. 3. Do not apply at temperatures below 10°C or when it is liable to drop below 10°C during the drying period.
