Located in Palmerston North’s CBD is a project owned and developed by Isles Construction Ltd, featuring ZX Panel as the face of their new building.
The astute owners wanted to create a unique yet modern look while ensuring the materials used were long-lasting and fit for purpose.
Isles Construction Ltd chose the ZX Panel exterior cladding system as it met their requirements and was a cost-effective solution compared to alternative systems.
The grid layout created the stylish look they were after, enhancing the face of the building from the corner of Main Street & Victoria Avenue. The non-combustible solid aluminium powder coated panels in ‘Appliance White’ are 2mm thick and are connected to the structural framing using engineered aluminium extrusions, providing a cavity-based exterior cladding system that makes a great statement for the building.
One of the major benefits in using ZX Panel is that minimal maintenance is required in keeping the new building in fresh, pristine condition for many years ahead and that costly maintenance re-paints are not necessary. ZX Panel also comes with a 15-year warranty which includes the powder-coated paint surface.
Sustainability is one of Isles Construction’s key values and with ZX Panel being sustainable and locally sourced, as well as future-proofing the building and environment for years to come, it was a logical, easy choice.
Isles Construction’s building team were impressed by how lightweight and easy to install the system was, as well as the fact that all leftover waste was able to be recycled.
ZX Panel is made in New Zealand by Altus. It has been fully tested and gained an S14G PASS certificate making the system fully compliant under the Building Act 2004.
This Isles Construction development is another demonstration of the developer and product supplier working together to create a project that enhances the overall look and standard of all buildings in the area.
