ARDEX NZ now has CodeMark Certification on their Butynol and Butyseal sheet membranes for use at slopes down to 1:100 or 0.57 degrees on roofs and decks.

Made right here in New Zealand, ARDEX Butynol is a rubber sheet membrane used for waterproofing - roof membranes, External balconies and decks, gutter linings, water containment (i.e. pillow tanks, reservoirs, pond liners), below grade applications.
ARDEX Butynol synthetic rubber membranes have properties that resist ageing from heat, sunlight and ozone. They have excellent gas impermeability and toughness and remain flexible at low temperatures.
ARDEX Butyseal is a roofing system designed primarily for the retrofit of existing bitumen, malthoid, concrete or tongue and groove sarking. The membrane incorporates a fibre backing which is laminated to the underside of the sheet membrane. This fleece provides an excellent means of ventilation for the membrane as well as increasing its puncture resistance.
ARDEX Butyseal can be applied over various substrates such as built-up roof systems, malthoid, liquid membranes and earth formed dams. ARDEX Butyseal can be applied to XPS using suitable adhesives, or onto Polyurethane foams, proving an instantly suitable substrate with insulation properties.
Both products are made in New Zealand at their Christchurch factory and are the only sheet membranes produced in New Zealand also having CodeMark Certification for unchallengeable council acceptance at this pitch (1:100) - where the product is used in accordance with the use and limitations defined on the certificate.
This makes NZ’s favourite membranes ideal on projects where desirable falls are unachievable or there are constraints in remediation of existing buildings - creating more flexibility and assured council acceptance for designers.
