When building his new family home in Silverdale, Auckland, home owner/builder Brad Macleod from Full Time Builders was pleased he stumbled across Masons Soffit Linings.
A planned feature of Brad's new home was a large, covered outdoor courtyard. Unsure what to use on the soffit area other than the usual smooth Fibre Cement, an introduction to Masons Plastabrick Auckland Rep Jacqueline Goldbury led him to the Soffit Linings Product.
“I was initially inquiring about Masons UNI Flexible Air Barrier, Tapes and P. Seals, but Jacqueline took a real interest in my build and showed me the Soffit Linings which at the time was a new product. She thought it would be perfect for the roofing on my outdoor area, and she was right!”. The product was so new there was limited information and no hard and fast rules on installation. I knew how it was supposed to look, and with the support of Masons we came up with a game plan.
We learnt some tricks along the way and it became surprisingly quick to install. Once all the lengths were cut and J and H moulds installed it took only half an hour to put up 25m2 of soffit. Jacqueline was amazing. She answered all my questions and what she didn’t know she went away and sourced the answers. I felt really confident that the Soffit Panels would last really well, and I am delighted to say, the look has far exceeded my expectations!
I would definitely 100% recommend this product. I love the fact that once it’s up there is pretty much no maintenance. Also, it’s something a bit different, has impact and creates a feature in an otherwise dull zone of the house. Our visitors always look up at our soffit and ask what it is. Even when I look up I am still impressed!”
Masons Soffit Linings are available in four colours: White, Black, Winchester and Classic Nut imitation wood finish.
