Low maintenance ZX Panel® exterior aluminium cladding is made from lightweight aluminium with a powder-coated paint finish, resulting in a highly durable, corrosion-resistant cladding system.
One big benefit is that the product requires minimal effort or cost to maintain. Aluminium will not rot, delaminate or break down in the same way that natural materials can. It is incredibly durable and more corrosion resistant than steel because a thin oxide layer forms over scratches, preventing weather damage. ZX Panel® is delivered ready to go and can be installed in wet weather because there is no risk of moisture absorption and no painting is needed.
To maintain the ZX Panel® aluminium cladding system under normal conditions surfaces only need to be cleaned every 6 months. Buildings in sea-side locations should be cleaned every three months. Standard dishwashing liquid, water and a light application of elbow grease are all you need.
Powder coating is one of the most durable colour coatings available, meaning it will provide you with many years of excellent service, requiring minimal effort. If you do need to replace panels for any reason, that’s easy! Panels can be individually removed, meaning you won’t have to repair an entire wall.
In terms of environmental impact, apart from oxygen and silicone, aluminium is the most abundant element in the world and has one-third the density and stiffness of steel. It is amongst the most environmentally friendly metals on the planet and is the most widely recycled of any industrial metal. Of the more than 1 billion tonnes of aluminium ever produced, roughly 75 percent of this versatile and lightweight metal is still in use today, due to recycling.
