Unovent® is a positive pressure ventilation system which takes fresh, filtered air, either from the roof space or by using a wall mounted option to draw from outside. Each Unovent® fan includes an industrial grade filter system which removes pollen and other harmful particles from the air. The system moves this air through one or more outlets into the selected rooms. This in turn gently pushes stale, moist air out through gaps under doors or around windows and through bathroom and kitchen vent systems.
The system’s simplicity is part of its genius. Because expensive componentry in the roof space is not required, both capital and operating costs are significantly reduced. Unovent® costs less than $1 a month to run. That makes it highly competitive with competing systems, which cost between $5 and $30 a month to operate.
Unovent® is fully automated, with no electronics to master and no adjustments required. It has a built-in temperature and humidity sensor controller, which has been optimised for New Zealand conditions. A safe 12-volt transformer plugged into a 240-volt socket is whisper-quiet; you won’t even know it’s there.
