So their Smartclad Weatherboard System has been developed to deliver a durable, stable cladding system that minimises wastage on-site, makes cladding homes a breeze and delivers stylish, timeless good looks.
A full range of high quality timber weatherboards with a superior finish are manufactured to H3.1 standard and come with a uniform double coating of primer. The boards are supplied in 6 metre lengths and are finger-jointed, ensuring long-term strength and stability. The product is suitable for both residential and multi-unit construction.
Smartclad features a hidden patented plastic clip which slots neatly into pre-formed grooves on the front and rear of the boards. These are then screwed into place.
Weatherboards are available in New Zealand’s favourite traditional style, the bevelback profile. And Smartclad’s supporting range of pre-cut timber trims save time, minimises labour costs and helps keep waste to a minimum. Features like starter boards, affixed at the bottom of a wall, take the guess work out of cladding a house and help deliver a result to be proud of – every time.
