Alf Da Fre presented a stunning collection this year at the Salone del Mobile in Milan; one that focuses on high quality, traditional craftsmanship and is dedicated to being not only innovative in their use of materials and designs, but also sophisticated in their approach. The use of geometric patterns, such as in the Allen bed features heavily, with unique ideas such as leather covered metal tubes to create a headboard in the Jetty bed and an angular frame which allows the upholstered headboard to move back and forth for additional comfort in the Jordy bed. Contemporary bedroom compliments feature simple forms; again, with unique design features – whether that be a cut out handle or a round shaped bedside. Alf has also added to their living furniture range, with many pieces being stand outs both at the show and within the industry. Some of the favourites being their Day and MySpace wall units. These designs offer endless possibilities, whether for a small wall-hung unit, or an entire library bookcase.
